About Sydney

Hi, I’m Sydney (she/her) I have a unique journey that brought me to the therapeutic world. I first started my career in marketing and advertising. I found myself living in Florida and working for the Mouse on a cultural representative program that allowed me to further explore my authentic self. Through this experience I met people from around the world and started to travel. I fell in love with culture, stories, and food! When I finally moved back home to Ontario, I realized that I love the study of people and the best way for me to achieve this was through Psychology. Fast forward 10 years and I feel at home in the therapeutic world validating people’s lived experience and working on connections.

My approach to therapy is to validate your lived experience while tailoring methods to give you the tools you need. I take a collaborative approach and tailor my therapeutic approach to your needs. We will assess and reassess goals as we move forward through your journey of self discovery, validating experience, and boundary building.

About Kseniya

Exploring your feelings and addressing mental health concerns can be a scary, uncomfortable, overwhelming, and challenging experience. My goal is to help make this process as comfortable, beneficial, and insightful as possible.

Hello, my name is Kseniya Bulat, and I am a registered RSW, in the final steps of completing a master’s degree in social work at the University of Windsor. Currently, I obtain my bachelor’s in social work from York University, along with a diploma in the field from Seneca College. My years of academia and work-related experience have solidified my desire to help individuals through psychological turbulences and personal hardships. As an immigrant to Canada, my experience has profoundly influenced the decision to pursue a career in psychotherapy and counselling, as it prevailed in a multitude of challenges, ranging from cultural adjustments and language barriers to feelings of loneliness and alienation. Throughout the process, I learned the immense value of having someone to talk to for guidance, support, and understanding during such a transformative time. Having had this exposure, I hope to offer and provide the same critical support and warmth I was granted in my earlier years. Together, we will work collaboratively to explore your goals, navigate challenges, and create meaningful and lasting changes in your life. I am honoured to be a part of your therapeutic journey and look forward to helping you find the healing, resilience, and personal growth you seek.

My approach to therapy has always been rooted in anti-oppressive, non-judgemental, and empathetic principles. I firmly believe in creating a space that acknowledges systemic forms of oppression such as racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, transphobia, and ageism to list a few of the very many. By actively addressing these socially rooted inequalities, I strive to create a safe, welcoming, and validating environment for clients of all walks. With that I aim to foster a genuine sense of trust with my clients, allowing them the ability to be their authentic selves and share their unique journeys.

About Rachael

Hello! My name is Rachael (she/her). Growing up as a 1.5-generation immigrant in Toronto, my interest and connection to learning more about our multicultural neighbourhoods started in my early grade school years. This curiosity grew into my fascination with understanding how people grow, inspire and connect. My connection to helping and building spaces for individuals to reflect and grow led me to prioritize mental health and psychotherapy in exploring and writing with creative and professional pursuits.

My experiences within crisis lines, mental health initiatives and public service solidified my passion for supporting individuals in diverse ways. And my wellness journeys in reflective and challenging times helped me map my route to the art and science of psychotherapy. I feel called to provide thoughtful and compassionate space for individuals to share their thoughts and feelings and define their maps toward self-discovery and self-compassion.

When working with clients, I aim to foster a safe, conducive space for clients to express themselves; to feel heard and seen. Choosing our paths can be a daunting, confusing task. I strive to create an environment that allows individuals to reflect and uncover their truths, work towards their goals, challenge themselves and define their preferred futures. Working from an integrative psychotherapy approach, I pull from evidence-based practices, including cognitive behavioural, narrative and mindfulness modalities. As an individual who prioritizes personal reflection through creative and spiritual connection, I incorporate trauma-informed, existential, creative and multicultural lenses relative to the client’s interest. Some of my stylistic choices include bringing realness and authenticity to the therapeutic room with humour and creativity, allowing the therapeutic therapeutic process to be a comforting space for vulnerability, genuine connection and being human!

Shagun’s Bio

Hi! My name is Shagun Sharma and I am a Registered Psychotherapist. Previous to my current title, I have worked in various positions in the mental health field, such as: Crisis Counsellor, Suicide Prevention Volunteer, and Crisis Responder Volunteer. I have lived and worked in different areas across and outside of the GTA, which as a result has influenced my frameworks to being client centered.

My overall approach is integrative, and I borrow techniques and ideas from different frameworks: Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Bereavement Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Culturally Sensitive and Multicultural Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy.

In a session with me, you can expect an environment that is productive, comfortable, supportive, and collaborative. I find that through collaboration, we can tailor and create a psychotherapeutic space that can be productive, while also giving you a feeling of control and strength in your own narrative. I am mindful of LGBTQIA+ issues, issues affecting marginalized groups, gender-based issues, and cultural issues. I am a big advocate of individuality, self-expressions, and self-empowerment, and hope to be someone who can support others as they build on these feelings!
